L.E.A.N. Start Workshop: 3 - 6 weeks

 

Based on your preference and schedule,

we can conduct group sessions in:

  • Three 120 minute weekly sessions

  • Six 60 minute weekly sessions

This group program focuses on science-based trustworthy information using easy concepts and fun activities to explore the four pillars of health:

 

L - Lifestyle (how we live)

E - Exercise (how we move) 

A - Attitude (how we think) 

N - Nutrition (how we eat)

L.E.A.N. Essentials Workshop

  • One-time introductory 2 hour session

This is a fast paced and highly interactive session which will introduce basic concepts for busy families or individuals looking for a brief introduction to health & wellness.

The 8 main concepts we cover are similar to those taught in L.E.A.N. Start Workshop, however seen briefly and less in depth than in L.E.A.N. Start.

We will discover:

Why quality foods matter, how to read and understand nutrition labels, how to support brain health with better nutrition choices to improve mood and behavior, simple and time saving ideas to make your life easier, fun ways to get the family moving, how to improve school performance in children and how to make easy and nutritious recipes!

NOTE: Homemade delicious healthy snacks will be provided in each workshop.

Pantry Makeover

The pantry makeover is 2-hour home session that will help bring awareness to your current food choices, while making space for healthier alternatives.

Your Pantry Makeover starts with some education on Traffic Light Eating, Healthy Substitutions, and the Dirty Dozen List. We also teach you a simple way to read and understand food labels. 

Next we look through your pantry and refrigerator to help identify which foods you may want to eliminate and those that you may want to add to your diet. After we've gone over your current food supply, we help to create a healthier shopping list. 

There is no grading or judging you or your pantry!

Our goal is help you make the best decisions nutritionally for you and your family.

Smart Shopping Trip

Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of choices in the grocery store aisles? 

Confused about which options are the healthy choices that are best for you and your family?

The Smart Shopping Trip is an hour long way to make healthy shopping easier!

Choose a grocery store that you frequently visit and bring your shopping list. We will walk through the aisles together and learn marketing loopholes to watch for and identify healthy brand choices. 

By the end of our trip you will be able to read a nutrition label, learn how to maximize your savings while still shopping healthy, and feel more confident in your ability to select quality foods and where to find them in the store.

The skills you learn during this trip will help you be able to plan for future successful grocery shopping trips!
